I AM no longer a resident of Sully, but I cannot be the only person who just feels utterly sad that the sight of the sea may no longer be visible when passing through Sully if the housing goes ahead.

I find that glimpse of the sea quite uplifting and the green area a breathing space of fresh air.

Perhaps the developers are lucky enough to already have homes with sea views here and abroad and couldn’t care less that some of us don’t have that privilege.

Little Sully school already has too many pupils in the classes so goodness knows how the Cog Road children will be squeezed in.

Another school needs to be built on that site, but no doubt that’s not lucrative enough for the developers.

The sports club itself is quite an ugly structure and could do with a revamp, but please leave the fields for people to enjoy.

There are already caravans in Swanbridge and St Mary’s Well Bay so another park is surely not necessary.

I’ve heard that the development is on the cards regardless of opposition and some people have even chosen their plot on site, but I would dearly love to hear someone state categorically that is not the case.
