IN FUTURE hard hats and body armour must be worn when crossing King Square in Barry, due to seagulls that swoop down from the council buildings and attack anyone carrying food or drink or items of any king kind that attract their attention.
My daughter who is registered blind has been attacked at least four times in the past few weeks.
The last time was Tuesday, June 21. I would like to thank the lady who gave my daughter a chair to sit on after two seagulls knocked her to the ground.
Also to the two police officers who came to help my daughter and take her home. This was not the only incident, the day before an elderly lady was attacked and went to hospital.
On phoning the council to see if anything could be done about the birds – to be told it’s nothing to do with them.
I pray to God a small child is not the next victim or maybe a baby eating in its pram.
Surely something can be done to protect the public.
