I AM writing to you about a letter sent to you by Mr P Rees on May 5 about the decline of streets in Barry.
I totally agree with him, the streets of Treharne, Colcot, Bassett, etc, are in a disgusting state.
But we don’t need litter warden and waste more council taxpayers’ money. All we need are four simple things.
1. Stop council workers using litter pickers.
2. Go back to Brower’s brushes and shovels.
3. Make sure all council workers work from 8am till 4pm sweeping streets.
4. Have streets monitored by a supervisor or management team.
Also I think that the management should walk the street and ask questions why these are in decline.
