IN RESPONSE to M Davies's letter regarding the postponement of the National Theatre Live's screening of Hangmen at the Paget Rooms on Wednesday, March 9.
I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Penarth has a community that is proud and very supportive of its local venues and the Paget Rooms offer the town a unique opportunity to host such great events as the National Theatre Live.
Tickets purchased are available both at the Town Council's Offices at West House, Stanwell Road and online via the Council's website penarthtowncouncil.gov.uk. It is disappointing to hear that your experience purchasing tickets in person was below par.
A review of ticketing arrangement will be made in order to try and avoid occurrences such as this from happening again.
However, the showing of Hangmen was postponed in several venues across South Wales on that evening due to technical failure beyond the Town Council's control.
In future, we will endeavour to place a notice at the Paget Rooms should this issue occur again.
Emma Smith
Town clerk
Penarth Town Council
