DEAR editor,
After seeing the feature in the paper about the beach huts on Barry Island making a loss, come on.
We didn't have a good summer and now a mild winter. OK it's been cold and a lot of rain with floods but no ice or snow down here.
I remember the days when one could walk across Barry sands with soles of feet burning. I can hear the ladies screaming on the old scenic railway.
Our summers were so hot as one could fry and egg in the middle of the road.
I cannot understand why the log flume is pointing eastwards as north/west would have been a feature for visitors/tourists coming into the island.
