DEAR editor,

I note that the new Vale Council Toy aka Beach Huts have made a financial loss of £215 for the first year, well congratulations to the Vale Council another mess they have made.

Who is paying for this loss as don't forget this is our money the taxpayers, so will the councillors responsible be repaying this money to us the taxpayer or will this be hidden in the accounts.

I also note they have now passed this to a scrutiny committee to come up with a viable plan, what did they do then before they let the public loose on these huts, the mind boggles.

One other point to note of recent times, now I don't hold any love for our very own MP Alun Cairns but I do have a lot of sympathy for him when he made a request to use one of the huts for his surgery and was turned down by the council because it was not a pre-planned commercial week.

What a load of absolute rubbish and pathetic bureaucracy from the Vale Council. As it was my understanding the Vale taxpayers paid for this it is not the council's private play thing to allow use when they see fit, it is for the people and to ban the likes of charities, schools, other organisations because it is not part of the Vale councils diktat is a disgrace.

The people own these huts not the council and they should be shared by everyone. I have no doubt that had the Labour leader in Westminster Mr Corbyn wanted to use one for his surgery, the Vale councillors would have been falling over themselves to make him a cup of tea and stir the sugar in.

Mr Cairns ended up at McDonalds for his surgery so if its good enough for McDonalds it should be good enough for the Vale council. This is just one more reason to kick this lot out at the next election shame on all of you.
