DEAR editor,
I recently paid a visit to Barry Library and wandered through the art exhibitions, although it was good there was a lot of wasted wall space and glass display cases empty or half full of exhibits.
I also noticed that in one part of the library there were model ships on display but could not get access to see them.
Wouldn’t it be a good idea to turn this section of the library into a long awaited museum or heritage centre, which would contain works of art, old photographs of Barry, relics from Barry’s ancient past and works of a scientific nature.
This would then make the library a more popular place to visit, where children could learn about our town’s rich heritage, let's preserve our past for future generations instead of destroying it and keep it on permanent display in our public library.

Hayes Road,
