DEAR editor,

I am writing to encourage your readers with children under five to celebrate Eric Carle’s best-selling children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by hosting their own Giant Wiggle event.

Leading charity Action for Children is setting children’s centres, nurseries and families and friends with under-fives in South Wales a fun challenge during the week of March 21 – 27 – to raise sponsorship by bringing children together to wiggle like caterpillars in giant conga lines and encourage them to play and develop their imaginations through storytelling and creativity.

All money raised through the event will support Action for Children’s work in South Wales to help vulnerable children, young people and families in the heart of communities.

The Giant Wiggle is a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to get involved with a charity that helps other children, having fun with their friends at the same time.

Me and my little ones will be taking part – so come and join in the fun!
