DEAR editor,
Saturday night’s Holton Road Christmas lights show was another example of Barry putting itself on the map.
As the local councillor, I was proud to see King Square packed with families enjoying themselves at the spectacle, watching the 3D animation on the Town Hall and joining in the countdown and that, after the awful weather all day, the rain stayed away at the right time!
A special thanks must be made to the Vale of Glamorgan Council and staff, especially town centres manager Mari-Wyn Elias Jones for her hard work throughout the year to put the event on, and the staff of TL Computer Systems on Holton Road, who organised the town centre Christmas market during the day.
With small business Saturday coming this weekend, why not take another look at our town centre for your presents, and see what else you can do to make Barry thrive over the Christmas period and into the New Year?
