DEAR editor,

Age Cymru is the leading older people’s charity for Wales.

We want to recruit four new members to the Age Cymru Consultative Forum from across Wales.

This forum enables older people to be fully involved in our work and ensures that the strategic direction of Age Cymru is directly informed and influenced by older people.

It advises on the development and implementation of the charity’s policy positions on ageing and older people.

The forum also provides feedback about Age Cymru’s key activities and helps us to monitor and review our work.

Age Cymru would like to invite any older people who may be interested in joining our Consultative Forum to contact us.

This is an opportunity for some of your readers to directly influence and contribute to the work of Age Cymru and make a difference to the lives of older people across Wales.

Whilst there is no payment for being a member, Age Cymru will cover out of pocket expenses incurred by members for attending meetings and events.

For more information about the Age Cymru Consultative Forum and about how to apply to be a member your readers can telephone Sarah Price on 029 2043 1555, or send an email to sarah.price@agecymru.org.uk.

Please contact us as soon as possible as the deadline for receipt of applications is December 16.

Age Cymru is Wales’ largest charity for older people – it works nationally and locally through its network of independent local Age Cymru partners.

Age Cymru is committed to achieving an age friendly Wales where older people have equal rights to respect, opportunities and the same access to services as the rest of the population.
