DEAR editor,

It was good to see all the Rugby Union World Cup semi-finalists, and their coaches, to a man, sing their respective anthems with passion.

To me it shows respect for the country, the flag and the language. It also gives an indication of belief in something greater than the individual and the team.

The all-conquering All Blacks are choreographed better than Pan’s People, (back in the day). I don’t believe that most of their players can speak the Maori language but they are all word-perfect when performing their Haka. Are they on to something?

Come on Wales! Players, coaches from all sports; how much does it really mean to you?
