WITH the NHS being at the forefront of the General Election debate it was interesting that on a recent visit to my GPs surgery to find that the list of private health charges had been moved from an obscure part of the waiting room to a very prominent position.
This new, highlighted, notice advertised the present charges for private treatment, examples of which were consultation with either doctor or nurse 10 minutes £30, 15 minutes £45, 30 minutes £90 and a home visit £100.
Could this notice reflect how GPs view the future of the Health Service as they are all private practice's funded, at present, by the NHS.
Think carefully how you use your vote as the NHS is facing a very uncertain future.
