I WISH to refer to the letter from Clifford Parish manager for Waste Management and Cleansing, Vale Council.

I find his comments to be at least condescending and hypocritical when referring to the charges brought in by the Vale Council on April 1.

His comments about saving money to the tune of £270,000 are laughable, this when the Vale Council has just spent over £200,000 on 30 odd pool cars.

He goes on to state that we can now purchase biodegradable food bags at £2 per roll, this equates to 4p per bag, dog waste bags are now charged at £1 per roll or 2p per bag WOW WHHOOPPPEEE DOOOO, does Mr Parish and the rest of the clowns on the Vale Council have any sense whatsoever, the people are furious about these charges?

We have just had another massive hike in council tax of 3.9 per cent and we are getting an absolute rubbish return from this council for our money. If the council is that skint why is it spending our money on rubbish, it’s about time these councillors took a massive cut in their own salaries and allowances.

Does Mr Parish think he is doing the Vale residents a favour by forcing charges on us, I for one am sick and tired of this useless council hitting us residents at every turn, enough is enough.

If Mr Parish wants us to recycle our waste food then he should give us the tools for the job at no cost, why on earth are we paying all this council tax?

Well I can tell Mr Parish that if my household runs out of these bags he will not get another cent out of me to fill incompetent council coffers, my waste food will be put elsewhere, and I urge all other Vale residents to tell the Vale Council where to stick their charges.
