NICE to see Mr Radford is back, I was quite worried because he didn’t have a letter in the February 25 edition of the letters page. I agree with a lot of what he says except for the food banks issues, but that’s my own opinion.

Here are some statistics for you to ponder over. We have 650 members of Parliament on £65,000 a year plus expenses and have just been awarded a £10,000 pay rise and there are 792 in the House of Lords who get £800 a day just for clocking on.

The Welsh Assembly members are on £45,000 and will get a £10,000 pay rise in 2016 for extra duties “that’s a laugh" and they want to elect 20 more members, at the cost of £9 million because they will have more powers.

The Vale of Glamorgan has 47 councillors with salaries of £13000 plus expenses, Barry Borough Councillors expenses?

There are 1,264 councillors in Wales, 21,000 in England, 129 in the Scottish Parliament, 108 in the Northern Irish Assembly - salaries unknown. That’s a lot of so called politicians for the population of the UK at approximately 63 million "unofficial numbers" with open borders?

Compare that with the United States of America 440 congressmen and 100 senators for the population of 319 million and these politicians are not allowed to have a second job.

Makes you think, now you know where all our taxes are going, enough said.
