I STROLLED to the harbour walls
Watching silvery February sea and full moon
And wondered at the power of Nature.
Then I entered Bethel Baptist Church
Hearing great words from Ephesians
And when singing hymns it felt really grand
To spend way from the Devil’s land
The tyranny of petty empires at work
Greedy streets and miserable demeanours
The sea at Barry is my church as well
And tranquillity lifts my soul
And I adore Sunday bells ringing in Barry Town
So this was a Sunday not to forget
Bethel Church and Barry Harbour sunset.
