THE proposed 4G pitch has to be installed on the existing Astroturf pitch at Barry Sports Centre.
The current pitch is extremely well used by both junior and senior football teams and has been since it was installed 15 or so years ago.
The location provides adequate car parking and has floodlights. Why doesn't the council, the senior and junior leagues work together with Alun Cairns and secure more funds.
Think big three 4G pitches, one covered so it can be used in all weathers.
Not only would it give Barry first class facilities that it is sadly lacking, the facilities could be used by pupils of the proposed new secondary school.
It would be a real community project that would be used for generations to come.
