WELL we have all heard over the past week or so, of the latest round of job losses. Tesco’s is to close 40 plus stores and cut over 1000 jobs, Morrisons is to close approximately 10 stores and cut further jobs. BP to slash over 300 jobs and cut back on investments, plus probably many more job losses that we haven't heard about.

But lo and behold 650 Members of Parliament, not one job loss, several hundred members of the House of Lords not one job loss. Wales National Assembly in Cardiff, approximately 60 Assembly Members not one job loss. Vale of Glamorgan Council approximately 70 councillors not one job loss.

Why is it that us ordinary folk have always got to take the brunt of job cuts yet our wonderful useless leaders just carry on as if nothing has happened.

It really is about time that these politicians suffered the same fate as the rest of us. We can expect more austerity measures from Westminster and it is paramount that politicians are axed from the top down.

Why is it that this country is in such a state, why it is mainly down to these same politicians and the decisions they have made yet they seem immune from any cuts that must change. Just think of the money saved.

One idea to put forward is to abolish that useless hot air chamber in Cardiff Bay, then abolish the cabinet system in councils, get rid of the CEO, and council leaders, and get back to how councils used to be for the people, not for their self serving ways.

Perhaps this letter should be kept for April fool’s day as like always, anything you say about politicians goes in one ear and out the other, it’s a real pity that they have nothing to stop it going in and out.
