SO the number of people waiting more than four hours to be seen at casualty units in Wales has risen to the highest level for five years which is certainly not good news.
According to official stats around 20 per cent of A&E patients have waited longer than the target of four hours to be seen. This is damning news for the Welsh Government and is further proof that Welsh Labour are just not doing a good enough job of looking after our health service in Wales.
Why are they denying us an independent public inquiry into the failings of the Welsh NHS? It is time for the Welsh Ministers to stop running scared and coming up with feeble excuses and start to be more open, honest and transparent about the poor state of our NHS. Let us have that inquiry now.
That said, I think we need to thank our Welsh NHS staff who, under extremely tough and challenging circumstances, continue with their excellent commitment. We know it is not your fault but that of the Labour politicians down in Cardiff Bay.
