HAS anyone thought to consult with the residents of Barry Island to ask them if they want a funfair all year round on their doorstep?

It seems to me that there is no forward vision for the Island and so called 'investors' are only thinking of the money and not the people who would have to live with all year round activity. They seem to live in the past for the glory days of when the funfair was buzzing. That was before so many new houses were built and the Island became more residential rather than a place to come on holiday to Butlins.

We need to have new ideas for the future rather than stay in the past. Why not have a peaceful park with beautiful flowers and a place for our wonderful community to come together? I know the answer; it doesn’t make the investors rich.

There are some things in life that money cannot buy but are worth investing and that is its people.
