I READ in the local paper that the council are considering stopping supplying waste food bags to residents. They stopped supplying refuse bags a few years ago and have cut back on dog poo bags, why don’t they have their refuse sacks, dog poo bags and waste food bags printed with commercial advertising on them.
I think dog food manufacturers would like the opportunity of having these bags printed with their brand names to advertise their dog foods.
A few years ago a councillor that I approached with this suggestion, the councillor said that the council were not allowed to advertise private companies. I wonder if that’s the reason why they’ve allowed so many weeds to grow over the advertising boards they placed on roundabouts in the Vale, making them difficult to read?
