AS I WRITE this letter at 8am on a Sunday morning the gulls are being fed and are squealing like witches: it's the middle of winter! They have taken root in Treharne and are waking everyone up.
It was interesting to read that in October 2013 a lady from Sully was taken to court and fined a total of £1,022 for feeding these flying rats under the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949.
I hope the Vale of Glamorgan Council will not make this an isolated case and fill their coffers with plenty more of these inconsiderate peoples' money.
In between January 1, 2014 to September 21, 2014, 443 pest control free service requests were received to the council. I urge anyone who has a problem with gulls/rats to contact the Vale Environmental Health and help get this problem controlled.
Happy New Year!
