THE paper has printed a lot of stories about the ‘Fairground’ on Barry Island with so many nice pictures, but will it happen.
I will believe it when they put the first new stone down. The stories in what to do for the site, has wrangled on for decades.
Barry used to be the top seaside town in Wales and it still brings in thousands of day trippers and visitors with trains and buses always full throughout the summer months and they still come in the winter too.
Good to see a couple of new restaurants or coffee shops on Paget Road. Barry could boom again with new investment.
Good to see the Waterfront going along and new buildings and roads. But no link road as yet, even the first house has gone up.
Westminster has put so much pressure on our councils and I wonder when it’s all going to end. Will we hold on to our airport at Rhoose?
