IT WAS good news about Barry Island’s funfair revival. Barry Island is a very popular place throughout the year as thousands ascend on the Island.
Fairground operation will make tens of thousands, with the frills and spills of the fair. Two new coffee bars have opened up and more will come, which is only good for the Vale of Glamorgan Council funds and trade.
I would like to see another hotel on the Butlin’s site, fantastic views. Barry Town is failing in shops and it could boom. I miss the old fruit stall on Holton Road (nice big oranges).
I would like to see the market in full swing over six days but proper stalls. Perhaps there might be room on the fun fair plot for a market.
Barry Island has got so much to offer to the visitor or tourist, the Island gets loads of coach tours too.
The fun fair sounds exciting; fairground operator Mr Henry Danter could bring back a lot of life to the area and hope it would boast our bus and train services too.
Look what’s going on at the Waterfront.
