HAVING been born in Barry Island and spending many an hour walking the promenade and beach I would like to say what a wonderful job has been done to enhance the beach and promenade.
The place looks amazing, 100 per cent better and a total transformation. May I congratulate the council, architects, planners and those poor builders carrying out this work in inclement weather.
I think it is high time for praise not negative comments. Barry Island needed a revamp and has certainly attracted more visitors. Well done everybody it looks first class.
My husband and I had an evening strolling on the beach looking at the lights and we were both really impressed with the whole scheme.
Many other residents have appreciated this and have discussed the whole fantastic improvement. We need some entertainment now and we are on a winner.
