OH HOW I agree with the comments aired in last week’s Barry and District News.

Our town is just falling apart, it looks so unloved, and yet it is the jewel of our coastline.

All our councillors think about is houses, houses, houses’ and posh chairs costing mega bucks.

The town has such potential, we have the Old Harbour filled with several rusting wrecks, this area would have been utilised as a water sports area in any other sensible town, but not us, it is just left as an eyesore.

Maybe we could get financial help from the European Union.

The fairground is going to be given over to more houses, houses, houses; we need a good hotel complex with indoor facilities.

We could also do with a really good caravan park run by The Caravan Club to bring families into Barry Island.

The approach to our town is littered with roundabouts with weeds which are supposed to be wild flowers but to most they are just ugly weeds.

We the people of Barry want to take pride once again in our town. It is sad and disgusting
