EVENING temperatures around the Barry area dropped little around 18-20 degrees on September 18, extremely warm for this time of the year.
Then at around 10.45pm flashes could be seen over the Bristol Channel with rumbles of thunder echoing between Somerset and the Vale coast line, with the main thunderstorm hitting Barry around 11.15pm.
Not often that our area has the pleasure of fork lightning, as we tend to have a very cloudy storms in our area that hide the true delights of a lightning display. But on this occasion I managed to capture the following shot from over Barry.
