EACH Season offers its own unique beauty. Seasons seem to change rapidly from cold winter through warm spring and summer and then there is autumn - when the nights become chilly and the mornings crispy. Autumn reminds us that all living things undergo change of one sort or other. Autumn time is harvest time when whatever is sown will surely be reaped. All the seasons are glorious but autumn reflects deeply the loveliness of God’s creation. It brings forth various shades of colour and helps to brighten up dismal days.

At autumn time, trees, with the exception of ever-green ones, lose their golden, red and brown leaves which fall to the ground and possibly used as compost. The natural seasons are the mirror of humanity when the golden days of an 'Indian summer' can still be enjoyed. God takes each of us through different ‘seasons’ of our lives. Seasons of rejoicing and mourning, laughter and tears, and times of embracing refreshment and revitalisation. Also there are periods of childhood for learning, during adulthood for establishing career and family. Then in the twilight season of life one may reflect upon relationship with people and God. Our 'autumn' time can still be productive even though faculties gradually diminish. God does in us what we cannot do for ourselves and picks up the pieces of our shattered lives making them beautiful and useful again. His presence remains with us during all life’s cycles.

Therefore in spite of personal present ‘season’ even if feeling weary continue to savour every one. This may cause some pain but can also help to increase the measure of personal spiritual growth and character. Appreciate all seasons as they are God’s gift to us so with eyes open wide see the variety of nature’s natural beauty that fits in harmoniously according as our Creator orders things. As in nature, God works silently and faithfully through all the seasons which regularly come and go as sure as morning light breaks the darkness of night. The one who has brought us this far continues to be our friend, companion and guide and will lead us aright. In him we move and have our being. For everything and every matter under

Heaven there is a season.
