TWO years ago when I moved from Cardiff to Barry I was delighted to find beautiful Porthkerry Country Park on my doorstep. A country park that includes meadows with many wild flowers, deciduous mature woodland with blankets of bluebells and orchids too, lovely ponds where local school children can pond dip and at the end - the sea.
I am sure many people from Barry and from further away very much appreciate the park.
I was so impressed that I have now joined the volunteers helping to care for the park and the flora and fauna within it.
My thanks to all those who work to keep this park special.
