AS CHIEF Executive of Wales’ leading environmental, I’m delighted to tell your readers that Keep Wales Tidy has been shortlisted as one of Tesco’s potential charities to receive their 5p bag levy charge over the coming year and now the final decision is down to the public.

Being the only Welsh charity to be shortlisted, this is a great opportunity because we do so much more than campaign about litter. Our mission is to encourage and support local action to protect and enhance our environment, contributing towards a sustainable future for Wales.

I’d like to urge your readers to choose Keep Wales Tidy as the charity of choice. We want to ensure that your money is put back into your communities using it to engage one million people in Wales to take part in one million local actions over three years that will transform, clean up and green up our communities.

We’ll bring people together creating healthier, safer, stronger and more prosperous environments. We work with volunteers across Wales on green projects and initiatives all year round. With your support, we can enhance and expand our projects to make an even bigger difference to Wales. You can learn more about our diverse work on our website www.keepwalestidy.org

Voting opens on Tuesday, August 12, for a fortnight. Log on to www.tescoplc.com to #bagyourvote and thank you for your continued support.
