WHY is it that the Vale appears to be run by amateurs? The beach hut debacle is yet another example of council incompetence and waste perpetrated by those who have no regard for local tax payers money.
Thinking back to when the Knap swimming pool was demolished and grassed over, this was another project that took so long that it appeared to be an unsupervised YTS scheme.
Roll on the elections when hopefully someone will emerge who cares enough about Barry to sack 75 per cent of all Vale Council office staff and get the council focussed on what should be its core activities like weekly refuse collections etc.
