THE Ladies Section, Barry West End Club, celebrated their 40th anniversary on Tuesday, March 11, at the Mount Sorrel Hotel, followed by other events through the year.
Fifty members enjoyed a delicious three course meal, followed by entertainment and raffles. They also received a gift to commemorate the occasion. What an achievement, 40 years and still going strong.
Our section meet every Tuesday evening at the West End Club, St Nicholas Road. For many of our senior members this being their only night out. We vary our programme, holding auctions, table sales, quiz and outings. The many fundraising events enable us to send donations to our four charities.
We are a happy friendly group each looking out for each other, but without out hardworking committee this would not be possible.
I would like to thank everyone for their friendship and support during the time I have held office. Here’s to many more years together.
