I WOULD like to take this opportunity to thank Jane Hutt AM for the sterling work she does in our community.
She sets an excellent example as can be seen by the way she uses The Assembly recess time to support local groups. We all owe her a gratitude of thanks.
I would also like to thank Alun Cairns for his excellent work in the Vale.
Wales as a small nation needs to look north to Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark to learn from their democratic systems. In these countries women have been promoted to directorships, management and the ‘top job’ in politics for many years in advance of the rest of Europe and the UK.
Perhaps it is time for the powers-that-be in Cardiff Bay to look to the equal and talented women of Wales for the top job.
