Cuts in local services

OVER the coming months and years up to the next general election our Conservative Member of parliament, Alun Cairns, will do his utmost to blame all the cuts in local services on either the local council or Welsh Government... in fact anywhere except his Tory/Lib Dem Government at Westminster.
But I am determined to hold our Tory MP to account for his actions. It is a fact that this coalition government has imposed massive spending cuts and that these cuts will have a long term and devastating impact on council services and the public will suffer as a result.
Read any local newspaper anywhere in Wales, Scotland or England and the headlines will be the same... cuts to bus services; cuts to youth services; cuts to elderly services; potholes not getting filled; library services put at risk; job cuts; streets not getting cleaned; massive increase in food banks to help the poor; homelessness increases; pay frozen; arts and leisure budgets slashed or council tax increases to help fill the funding gaps!
Have no doubt the responsibility for these savage cuts lie with the Conservative and Lib Dem MP's at Parliament and that includes Alun Cairns. Not once has he had the guts to vote against these cruel cuts while sitting on the Government benches.
