IN his weekly column (Barry & District News, November 28) Alun Cairns MP right calls for constituents to shop locally, but one of his statements puzzles me.

He writes “For every £10 spent in the local community an additional £25 is invested back into the economy.”

Try as I can I cannot see how this occurs. Perhaps Mr Cairns can elucidate for me?
