Views sought on co-education

AS many readers will be aware the Vale of Glamorgan Council is currently consulting on the principle of making Barry Comprehensive and Bryn Hafren Comprehensive into a co-education school.
As a council we are only consulting on the principle of co-education in the first instance, but we would like to know your views on what could be the most significant change to education in Barry for decades. If you have a view please let us know by completing the consultation form, either by calling 01446 700111 or by visiting the council's website. The consultation closes on October 25. The outcome of the consultation will allow the council to gauge the public’s view on this long debated topic, but I would like to assure pupils, parents, staff and the wider community that this consultation will not lead to any immediate change. If co-education is to move forward there will be further consultation with all stakeholders on detailed proposals.
