Inquiry required about funding failure

IT is really sad to hear that Barry did not even make the first round of the Welsh Government's latest regeneration funding.
Thanks to the Labour run Welsh Government, our town will now miss out on the much-needed £15m.
It was pleasing to see Plaid forcing a debate on this matter as we need to get to the bottom of why we failed.
I felt that it was an interesting debate but I do feel we should now have an inquiry into this failure.
It was good to see contributions from not only myself but also Plaid and the Tories but disappointing to see only three Labour Councillor's speaking each blaming the Welsh Government. This is a serious blow to Barry as we need to continue to improve the town for the people of Barry.
In the past under both Labour and the Tories opposition councillors have been excluded from any involvement in the bids even though they are elected by the people of Barry.
We must all now work together for the good of our town - for far too long we have been let down by tribalist politics and it is now time that this changed.
