IN my capacity as Poppy Appeal Organiser (PAO) for the Barry Branch, Royal British Legion, after attending a meeting on September 5, about Remembrance Sunday, I have been asked to inform that those people who wish to place wreaths at the Cenotaph on November 11, would they please carry their own wreaths during the procession.
No wreaths are to be left in the foyer of the Memorial Hall & Theatre, as this only causes disruption during the service. Also would all VIP’s taking part in the procession who have persons awaiting their return for the service (outside the Cenotaph) who have wreaths to hand over should wait at the Bedwas Hall entrance so that they are clearly visible to that person.
Compliance to these requests will ensure smooth running of the service.
On behalf of the RBL and the Lord Mayor’s offfice, thank you for your indulgence.
