Apology is owed us

NOW that the Labour-led Vale of Glamorgan Council has decided that Oak Field School in Barry is not to close, I wonder if they will issue an apology for putting staff, pupils and families through both worry and stress.

I really cannot understand why they took so long to announce they were not going to close the school and furthermore why they bothered with the school’s task and finish group if they were just going to ignore the recommendations.

The way the Labour coalition handled the whole situation was appalling and rather amateurish in its whole approach.

It is now time that the Labour leaders from the council admitted that they handled this badly and issued an apology to the school immediately.
