Thanks to the council

I WOULD like to, through the Barry & District News, thank the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

Normally, when it snows where I live in the suburb, driving can be quite dangerous when driving off the estate. Both ends of Westward Rise have inclines and many vehicles have problems.

On Friday, however, the council supplied a JCB to clear both Westward Rise and Porth-y-Castell.

I normally rant and rave about the suburb being on a bus route and that the council should therefore grit; but I do understand that they are narrow roads for the gritters to use - although buses and refuse vehicles do drive up them, so the JCB is good for me. Thank you again Vale of Glamorgan Council.
