I AM delighted to say that I have received many photographs and stories from readers in response to my requests for information for my forthcoming book on Barry and WW2.
I am now seeking photographs and memories of women from Barry who served in the armed forces during the Second World War, or on home front duties such as the Land Army, Civil Defence etc, for inclusion in the book.
May I also take this opportunity to thank all who have responded to my appeal and who have taken time out to allow me to visit their homes, copy photographs and interview them.
It has been very much appreciated.
