Tree-mendous effort at first Christmas Tree Festival!
7:00am Thursday 20th December 2012 in Letters
LAST week saw the excellent Christmas Tree Festival held at St Mary’s Church on Holton Road.
The 37 trees, decorated by schoolchildren, charities and other local organisations, were a wondrous sight, reflecting the amount of work put into the creations.
I was fortunate enough to be able to enjoy concerts from children at Ysgol Gymraeg Sant Baruc and Gladstone Primary School and I was told that all of the concerts from other schools were also of a similarly excellent standard.
I know that the congregation at the church put a great deal of effort into the festival and showed fantastic hospitality, and I hope it will be repeated next year. Merry Christmas! Nadolig Llawen!
