THE Dinas Powys Players are pleased to announce that the popularity of their recent production of Calendar Girls, which was part of the countrywide initiative to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, has enabled them to donate £1,750 to this very deserving cause.
For the first time in the group’s 42-year history, the number of advertised performances had to be extended by an additional night. Calendar Girls played to capacity audiences on all four occasions, so the Players have been able to donate an additional sum of £1,500 to local charities.
Dinas Powys Players have been delighted with audience feedback and would like to thank patrons, sponsors and all the supporters who contributed to making Calendar Girls such an outstanding success story.
