THE Royal British Legion wish to record their thanks to the citizens of Barry who attended the 2012 nationwide observance of a two minute silence to commemorate Armistice Day at the Barry Remembrance parade and service on Sunday, November 11, with wreaths and crosses placed on the cenotaph paying tribute to all who lost their lives of the two world wars and recent war conflicts.

The 2012 attendance we believe may have been the largest turn-out for the parade and service held in Barry for a number of years.

We extend also our grateful thanks for your loyal support to the 2012 Poppy Appeal in your donations via the poppy collection boxes. We appreciate the help given by all those volunteers and Forces Cadet Services on the hours of duty undertaken in the appeal.

Without your support The Royal British Legion could not undertake their duty in the welfare to the serving and ex-service community and their families for over 91 years, and the years to come.
