A 39-YEAR-OLD Barry man is being treated at Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales following a serious assault in a town flat.
Detectives in Barry are investigating the incident that took place in Cwrt Melin Y Rhos, Hunter Street, Cadoxton, on the morning of Friday, June 8.
Officers are asking the public to help them locate a pair of white Hi-Top training shoes and are keen to trace any witnesses.
Detective Constable Emma Adams of Barry CID said: "This was a very serious assault and we would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have seen the pair of training shoes we are looking for. They may have been discarded over a fence or in a back alley somewhere."

* A 19-year-old Barry man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and has been remanded in custody. He has appeared before Cardiff & Vale magistrates and will appear in Cardiff Crown court this month.
