THE Smiffs, Barry's very own Smiths tribute band, have had a very busy summer indeed.
The band played two of the biggest tribute music festivals in Europe and went down a storm at both.
They kicked off proceedings with a sunny slot at the legendary Tribfest Festival in Hull, where thousands of revellers sang and danced throughout the hour-long set.
The only Welsh band on the bill, The Smiffs proved themselves as one of the most exciting and authentic acts on the tribute circuit.
Next up was the Matthew Street Festival in Liverpool. The band played a blistering set to approximately 9,000 people.
With the band churning out hits such as This Charming Man, How Soon is Now and There is a Light, the crowd responded in an amazing manner again. Playing the first encore of the day, The Smiffs left Liverpool as the UK's number one tribute to Morrissey et al.
You can find them on facebook or check out their site on www.the-smiffs.com for upcoming shows, more pictures and videos of the festivals.
