Mysterious artwork appears on Barry wall...

A PAINTING of a child sat astride a fuse-lit bomb has appeared on the wall of a Barry post office.

Staff at the Holton Road office opposite the Civic Offices said they had first noticed the artwork on the Kendrick Road side of the building early this month.

But they have no idea as to the identity of its creator, who has merely signed "Reddy" at the foot of the piece.

An exhibition by world-famous street artist Banksy, whose identity remains a secret, this summer attracted more than 300,000 visitors to the Bristol City Museum putting £10m into the city’s economy. Post office manager Dave Johnson said he liked the drawing.

"It would be great if there was a Barry Banksy," he said.
