Five-year planning granted to St Athan training college

ST ATHAN training college was granted five-year temporary planning permission to build ten new buildings, relocate the games area and extend existing buildings at a planning meeting last week.

College representatives say the temporary planning permission will ensure training can continue on the site whilst planning application for the proposed new Defence Technical College is considered.

The land set to be developed is already part of the St Athan base on the East Camp, and runs behind the main St Athan road.

The new buildings are set to be developed into living accommodation, offices, a gym, dining room and changing facilities.
