VALE AM and President of the Barry First Responders, Jane Hutt, attended the second AGM at the Scout Hall in Ilminster Street.

Jane Hutt said: “With 29 volunteers and clocking up 1,319 response calls since 2004 as First Responders in the Barry area, I was pleased and proud to congratulate this effective and enthusiastic team on their achievements, at their AGM at the Scout Hall where they first met as a group.

“Barry First Responders are saving lives with a 'year on year' increase in the number of calls they meet, acting as a vital back up to our Ambulance Service Teams.”
