BARRY Island’s tallest tourist attraction, the Barry High, is back on site and under construction at the Pleasure Park.
It is hoped the wheel will be ready in time for the school half-term, next week.
Vale council planning officers last month used their delegated powers to allow fairground owner, Henry Danter to operate the 100-foot structure on the Whitmore Bay amusement site.
The £1-million tourist attraction was removed from the Island after it became apparent that the Danter family did not have the necessary planning permission for the ride.
The Ferris wheel will be joined by a number of other temporary rides for half term.
