FIREWORK Fiesta fans can avoid using Barry Island’s two access roads by taking the train on Saturday, November 4.
The 44th display, organised by the Rotary Club of Barry and mainly financially supported by Barry Town Council, begins at 7.45pm
The Barry Tourist Railway shuttle train is offering a park and ride service beginning at 6.30pm.
The vintage shuttle train will run from the Waterfront station, off Hood Road opposite ASDA, to Barry Island railway station, which is just a short walk from the display area.
The journey takes five minutes and there is plenty of car parking space right behind the Waterfront station platform.
After the display ends, the shuttle service re-commences from Barry Island station to the Waterfront, with the last train leaving Barry Island at 9pm.
Park and Ride train fares are £5 for a family or group of up to five people and £10 for a vehicle up to 10 people.
Cash can be paid on the train.
Pay and display parking is available in the Barry Island Pleasure Park, Harbour Road and Nell’s Point car parks.
